We all have an aura; an energetic force-field of sorts around the body, that dictates what energy comes in and out. It is like a filter, that keeps our energy body balanced and functioning well.
Everyone has a different primary aura color, that can change and shift depending on the phase of life they are in and current circumstances. We can see our aura color using different practices to open the third eye, getting our aura photographed or arranging a reading.
Some aura colors are ‘rarer’ than others, which doesn’t mean better or worse necessarily, but that you are undertaking a specific life lesson or are focused in an unconventional way.
In today’s post I want to talk about rare aura colors and what they all mean!
The most common aura colors
Before we discuss rare aura colors, I want to go over some of the more ‘common’ ones. I have been doing aura readings for people for the last few years.
The people who come to me are usually starting new businesses, creative projects or developing spiritually, and so my selection is not representative. If you are doing the inner & shadow work, your aura colors will tend to be a bit brighter, rarer, and more coherent.
However I have seen quite a few auras over the years and so have a good idea of what is most common.
The colors I see the most are red, orange and yellow. These are more earthy or grounded colors that link to physical safety and survival. You can also see these color in those who are reclaiming their personal power and developing creative focus.
Blues and greens are also quite common. The common colors tend to be colors most of us interact with and know well in day to day life too. The physical does reflect the energetic.
Without getting an in-depth reading, you can often tell what your prominent aura colors are by the colors you can see around you, in your home or work space. What color are the common foods you eat, what color do you usually wear or decorate your home with?
This color represents an energy you are tapping into and bringing with you wherever you go. Personality types also relate to aura colors, someone who is very short-tempered could logically be seen as having a ‘red’ aura.
Even if on a logical level you don’t pick up on it or put those words to it, I think you can gather what I mean.
Rare aura colors
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s get into the truly rare colors. I will list these in order from slightly rare to extremely rare, just to make things easy.
Brown
This is one of the more common ‘rare’ colors I see. Brown often represents an energetic blockage of some kind, and so it makes sense a lot of people with brown will come and get a reading.
Brown is closest in hue to black, which is a lot rarer, but it represents a lot of the same problems developing just in much less extreme manner.
People with brown in their aura will often feel tired, drained, as if a physical weight in dragging them down in day to day life. They’ll find their shadow has a lot of influence over the choices they make and reality they experience.
This color also represents stubbornness, being trapped in cycles and generally not experiencing a lot of flow or movement in your life.
Pink
Pink is a color I see fairly often but still class as rare because of the quality of energy I can feel when I see it.
Pink is connected to the feminine energy, so someone with a pink aura will be stepping into the Queen archetype we see all throughout tarot.
There is a softness to pink in the aura, so someone with this color will be learning or embodying a more peaceful energy. Pink, along with green, is connected to the heart chakra.
Purple
Purple is most connected to the third eye chakra, and represents a close connection with spirit. When I see someone with a purple aura I know they would make a great spiritual teacher or leader.
Otherwise, this color represents a commitment to bring light to whatever field you are in. If you are a barista, you will try to uplift each person who walks through the cafe doors.
People with purple auras tend to look at the bigger picture, they may find strangers come up to them for advice often. These are highly intuitive people, that feel deeply – that can be a blessing or a curse, depending on how they develop this sensitivity.
Gold
Gold and purple auras share a lot of similarity, I would say the distinct difference is that gold auras are on a mission! Whether in their personal life (they are very dedicated lovers and partners) but also in work and business, (they are very motivated).
People with gold auras are very connected to their purpose and that often has something to do with spiritual development and acquiring abundance on all levels.
Silver
When I see a silver aura I like to think of the ‘silver cord’ people talk about when discussing their astral projection/out of body experiences. This silver cord represents the link between our physical bodies and spirit or soul.
Someone with a silver aura is very connected to the spirit realms, and can often be described as having their head in the clouds.
This color represent a lot of inner clarity and direction, a connection with your higher self. People with silver auras are deep, critical thinkers. They’ll often find they offend or intrigue people because of this.
White
This aura color represents a high level of clarity and purity in a person and that’s what makes it so rare. Most of us are healing something heavy, distracted by all the distractions we have available now, and fall into unawareness quite often.
A person with a white aura has good detachment from their thoughts and ego, they exist mostly in a state of deep presence. Enlightened beings will often have a white or close to white aura.
Black
I don’t really see black in the aura readings I do. Black auras are most present to me in real life, when I stumble upon someone with very low and even evil energy in public, and they are still very rare.
Black is a lack of energy, a complete void of any life-force. The people I do readings on tend to be doing some sort of spiritual work, and so while there may be patches of darker color in some areas of their aura, I don’t tend to see solid black.
A black aura can represent an energy field that has been completely depleted through extreme trauma, lack of awareness and serious malicious intent. Black can also be present when someone is in very bad health and towards the end of their life – although this is not always the case.
If you’d like an aura reading from me, you can arrange one here.
I provide a small illustration like the one below, so that you can see exactly what I do.
