We all have an aura – think of it like a second body – made up of energy not physical matter. The clearer and more consistent our aura appears, the clearer we see the world and the better we feel day to day.
Every aura color has a specific meaning, with common interpretations but small differences for each individual. We can see our aura when our spiritual vision or third eye chakra is open, or we can go to someone trained to do so.
Orange is one of the most common aura colors I see in my readings! So today I want to explore the meaning behind having an orange aura and common personality traits associated with it.
What does an orange aura mean?
Each aura color has many different interpretations and not all of these will apply to you as an individual, however you can use it as a rough guide.
The first reason you might have an orange color in your energy body is that you are activating your sacral chakra:
- Becoming more sensual & connecting to your sexuality
- Allowing your emotions to flow
- Feeling safer in the body
- Exerting your boundaries
- Creating a new life for yourself
An orange aura usually represents someone who moves beyond other peoples’ expectations of them. They’re flowy, intuitive, in tune with a fiery passion for life.
Personal life, career & relationships
People with this aura color tend to be incredibly creative – and creativity can be a double-edged sword!
I mean this in the sense that some of the most creative people I know and work with, end by using their creative energy to make bad situations around them better. This is not always to a fault but can sometimes work to our detriment.
Sometimes we have so much of this creative energy in us that it has to go somewhere! Even if that isn’t a good place.
They’ll try to help others even if they aren’t reciprocating. Someone with this aura color must be conscious of this quality, continue to help people but prioritize moving into spaces where that is truly and deeply appreciated.
When I think of someone with an orange aura I think of someone who likes to moves their hips, dance, paint, draw, write intensely. Someone whose fashion and career choices often confuse or shock others, but that doesn’t really matter to them – as long as its authentic.
People with this aura tend to inspire others and help bring back their zest for life. They’re incredible social butterflies and enjoy changing their scenery and routines often to keep things interesting.
In relationships orange auras will move forward with a fiery passion, they need to find those that can meet them on this level. They don’t do love in half measures.
On the flip side, it can be difficult to detach and gain clarity on where the passion is coming from – is it mutual or just one-sided?
If you’re in a phase in your life where a lot is changing and you’re learning how to exert your own energy on the world, expect this color to shift as you better understand yourself.
Why is orange such a common aura color?
I connect with a lot of creative people or those who are making changes in their life that require a lot of creative energy, and so there is some confirmation bias.
I speak from my personal experience reading auras for clients over the last few years when I say orange is a common color, however it makes a lot of sense as most of us are situated in the first three to four main chakras.
Earthy colors also seem to be more common as opposed to colors like purple, blue, gold etc.
Can our aura color change?
Our aura color can absolutely change, over different periods of life and through intentional energy work. We sometimes have consistent aura colors if a particular energy is needed to actualize a life-long goal/achieve our soul purpose.
