Practical Steps To Activate The Pineal Gland

activate the pineal gland

In the center of our brains there is an important gland called the pineal. On a physical level this gland regulates our circadian rhythm. Letting our brain know how much light is coming into the eye, it plays an important role in sleep and hormone production.

Going further, the pineal gland is said to have major spiritual significance. It is the physical counterpart to our third eye chakra. Think of it as our original eye; its structure made up of rods and cones similar to our physical eyes that perceive incoming light.

Today I want to go over some of the practical steps you can take to start decalcifying and activating this gland, allowing in more light-coded information.

What calcifies the pineal gland?

The pineal gland is known as the ‘seat of the soul’, a place where the physical and non-physical converge. This is our viewfinder into the non-physical astral planes, how we view our guides and where receive clairvoyant visions.

Through the consumption of fluoride and other toxins, social conditioning and spiritual blocks our pineal gland becomes inactive. Fluoride clogs and hardens the pineal gland, hindering our inner vision.

So, decalcifying the pineal gland is not just a physical or mechanical process. It’s the development of our inner vision or third eye, which brings about clearer perception.

Candle Gazing

This is a yogic exercize called Trataka (candle gazing) that I use often to strengthen my inner vision as I tune into different types of information. ⠀

Place a candle on a hard surface where it will be safe. Sit in a comfortable position facing the candle and spend a few minutes gazing at it.

Continue staring at the candle until an after image of the flame starts to form behind your eyelids. Hold this image in your mind for as long as you can.

Then use your imagination to ‘touch up’ the image in your mind’s eye. When the image finally fades return to staring at the candle and repeat the exercize. Do this a few times or stop at any point if your eyes start feeling too uncomfortable. ⠀

Over time you’ll be able to recreate this after image without a physical candle present. I often visualize different colors in my mind’s eye in a similar way without a candle for stimuli. Starting with red and adding orange and yellow to form a flame. ⠀

This will strengthen your pineal gland and make the visions you receive more vivid. You may start to notice colors behind closed eyelids and pressure in the forehead area after a session.

Visualization

Any type of visualization exercize will aid the pineal gland and develop your inner vision, however here are a few of my favorite.

Start with the candle visualization I mentioned above. Build up the image of a flame in your mind’s eye starting with red then orange and finally yellow.

The idea is to build up the image so well that it’s almost as if you are staring at a physical candle but behind your closed eyelids. Start with five minutes a time and work your way up as you get better at holding your focus.

Another technique is to visualize a purple lotus flower slowly opening up in your third eye area. Once again you want to build this up to be as detailed as you can.

Visualize as each of the eight petals open before your eyes. I like to do this exercize while listening to some pineal gland binaural beats, 963hz is perfect for opening up your inner vision. Over time the visual will become more vivid and start taking on a life like motion.

You can find these binaural beat tones on YouTube or use an app which allows you to listen to custom frequencies.

Diet and Herbs

Turmeric: I started drinking turmeric tea a while ago because I read it helped with digestion however it wasn’t until recently I learned about turmeric for the pineal. ⠀

You create a small paste with a little water (preferably use distilled, spring or purified), sticking to organic turmeric root or powder.

Place it on your forehead between your eyebrows overnight and be prepared for a little staining so you don’t go around with a yellow spot on your forehead throughout the day.

After doing this a few times I noticed my inner vision began clearing up considerably and random visions would stream through more often. ⠀
⠀⠀
Apple cider vinegar, beets and iodine (found in spinach, seaweed and fish) are great for absorbing the fluoride too. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
Reducing fluoride: use a fluoride free toothpaste, drink distilled water and use a fluoride filter showerhead.⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
Eat clean: reduce alcohol and nicotine intake and eat as clean as you can. Practice preparing your meals when you’re in an uplifted mood and blessing your food before you eat it. Just as its important to eat healthily, it’s important what energy you are putting into the food you eat.

What Happens When The Pineal Gland Activates?

When your pineal gland is activated through meditation and detoxification it will make a ‘popping’ or clicking sound and buzz into activity.⠀You will see colors and visions with the eyes closed. You may see the purple color of the third eye chakra. ⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀
When you open your physical eyes you may see energy particles floating in the air. You may begin perceiving auras and energy fields around people, animals and plants. ⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
You will begin to see directly into the astral realms and be able to project your consciousness out of body. You will see your guides/angels more clearly. ⠀⠀

Take it slowly and do the best you can with the resources you have. Your pineal gland will naturally activate with consistent spiritual practice.

I think it’s important to emphasize the spiritual side to activating the pineal gland – which many people neglect.

It makes little sense doing all of the physical work to decalcify the pineal gland, if you aren’t focusing mentally and spiritually in the right way.

Activating the pineal gland is all about widening our perception. This often means seeing things that will make us feel scared or uncomfortable – confronting the shadow.

We also have to be open to our spiritual side blossoming. When our perception is clearer it becomes very difficult to stay in the same toxic relationships, workplaces, spaces in general.

Doing any sort of spiritual work – which activating the pineal gland is – means committing to change in some way. Opening up our awareness in this way without taking action on what we discover can be more destructive in some cases than doing nothing.

Important Note

Decalcifying your pineal gland is a gradual process that compounds over months and years. For most of us living in places where the water is not pure, the food is full of artificial chemicals and these practices are not commonplace this will take some easing into.

Leaving all of the physical barriers out, social conditioning and widespread fear towards spiritual practice are the most difficult aspects to overcome.

It’s not uncommon to hear of people who activate their pineal gland/third eye and promptly stop their routine as they aren’t living in an environment where experiencing non-physical phenomenon is practical or welcomed.

Take your time, let the process unravel naturally and continue to meditate daily to keep yourself balanced. Always start with the lower chakras first to form a strong foundation and get comfortable with meditation before activating the pineal gland.

Activating the pineal gland is not something to fear but it should be done in a careful balanced fashion. Allow your intuition to guide you in this area.
